An Air Guard officer was arrested yesterday moments after he fired several gunshots in the air with an unlicensed firearm outside a bar in Port-of-Spain.
According to police reports officers, of the Western Division Task Force received a report that the man had fired gunshots in the air after he was involved in an altercation with others outside Roscoe’s on Ariapita Avenue, shortly after midnight.
Officers from the Port-of-Spain Division arrested the 23-year-old officer, near Belle Eau Road, Belmont area around 2.30 am, driving a silver Nissan Cefiro. A Sig Sauer pistol with five rounds of 9mm ammunition was found in the car.
