T&T Chamber of Industry and Commerce CEO Catherine Kumar is expected to be discharged from hospital today after successfully undergoing emergency surgery for a brain aneurysm.
Yesterday, Kumar’s family, through the Chamber CEO’s Facebook page, advised that her medical procedure “was very successful.”
The brief post stated that Kumar is expected to be home today, however it did not say where her surgery was performed.
The post added that Kumar “needs some quiet time and privacy at this time. We appreciate the outpouring of love and care that has been expressed.”
On Friday, Powerful Ladies of Trinidad and Tobago (Plott) co-founder Gillian Wall, speaking at the organisation’s luncheon in Westmoorings, said Kumar had been experiencing severe headaches for some time and her condition was confirmed at a doctor’s appointment last week. (RR)
