Police are investigating another video that went viral on social media of a man seemingly using excessive force against two children.
The video, which is one minute and 46 seconds long, went viral over the weekend and had gained over 45,286 views up to last evening.
It is believed that the incident occurred in East Trinidad some time over the weekend.
In the video, one of the children, a girl, who sustained an injury to her hand, is seen showing the injured hand to someone who was recording the incident on a cellphone.
The man, who is seen dragging the girl in the video, is identified as “Big Pin.”
In the video, the unidentified man then turns his attention to a young boy. He is seen dragging the boy by his shirt collar and chasing him out of a yard.
When the person recording asked what had happened, the young boy said he was “slammed on the ground.”
After walking away, the man returns and is heard telling the girl “when I come and see you running up and down the road like you is a big woman.”
It is unknown whether the man is related to the two children.
Getting it right
In an article on page A6 of Saturday’s paper, it was incorrectly reported that the Clico Shareholders’ Association was writing to the Central Bank and Government regarding the Clico matter. It is, however, the Clico Stakeholders’ Alliance which is doing so.
