The relatives of San Fernando business woman, Carolyn Katwaroo, are offering a $100,000 reward for any information on her whereabouts, eight days after she disappeared.
In a newspaper ad yesterday, the family pleaded with the public to come forward with any information to help find her.
Katwaroo, 43, was last seen around 7.45 pm on September 11, leaving her Block 5 Palmiste home in her white Mercedes Benz car.
Her car was found abandoned in Union Hall, San Fernando the following day but Katwaroo has not been heard or seen since.
Katwaroo lived alone and owned and operated a wholesale business, importing fruits and vegetables.
The Anti-Kidnapping Squad were brought to investigate her disappearance.
One family member said in an interview that Katwaroo is also a US citizen.
The relative said local police are continuing to follow the case closely, but they need members of the public to come forward with any information they may have.
However, the relative declined to say more, stating that the case was a “very sensitive one.”
Inspector Don Gajadhar of the Southern Division said in an interview that a team of officers from different divisions is assigned to Katwaroo’s case, but there are no new leads.
The Katwaroo family is asking anyone who has seen her or her car, registration PDA 6700 on the night she went missing to contact them directly at 1-954-695-2696.
