This country’s newest Lotto multi-millionaire snagged the bounty in St James, taking home over $10 million from Saturday’s draw.
The player matched the winning numbers of 17, 22, 25, 31, 33 and the Powerball number 10 when they purchased a ticket from Rustop Limited, Long Circular Mall, St James, hours before the 8.30 pm draw, taking home $10,359,357.22.
That means the Lotto Plus jackpot starts afresh this week, with a minimum guaranteed jackpot of $2 million to be drawn this Wednesday. Two lucky players matched five numbers without the powerball.
They each won $15,338.90. Therefore, the five out of 35 jackpot without the powerball is now estimated at $10,000 for Wednesday’s draw.
A total of 25 players matched four numbers and the powerball to win $905.24. And 188 players matched four numbers to win $232.72, 564 players matched three numbers and the powerball to win $24.29 and 5,784 won one free Quick Pick for matching three numbers.
In past few years, multi-million dollar jackpots were sold in various locations across the country.
The winner of the $20.4 million Lotto jackpot in 2013 bought the winning ticket in Ste Madeleine.
The winning ticket for the $16.8 million was purchased in Duncan Village, San Fernando, in November 2012.
Another player who won the Lotto jackpot of $9.2 million in December 2012, purchased the ticket at Nu Kar Auto Shop at the Falls at Westmall in Westmoorings.
