Homicide detectives are investigating the murder of a 27-year-old man whose body was found in his car in St Augustine on Tuesday night.
According to reports, around 11 pm residents of Ragbir Street, St Augustine, reported to police that a suspicious Toyota Corolla was parked in the community for several hours.
When they arrived on the scene, they found the victim, who was later identified as Ivan Hernandez, of Acono Road, Maracas/St Joseph, slumped over the dashboard in the passenger side. He had a single gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead on the scene by a District Medical Officer (DMO).
Investigations said Hernandez was not known to police and a motive for his murder is yet to be determined.
However, they believe he was killed at another location and his attackers dumped his body and his car in St Augustine.
Investigations are continuing.
