Another two school-girls, ages 12 & 16, missing

Two school-girls have been reported missing, one of them only 12-years-old.

Police say the girls are from Fyzabad and La Brea.

The following is a statement from the Police Service on the matter:

"Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is seeking the urgent assistance of the public in locating two girls who were reported missing in separate incidents.

Missing are Shainna Ali, age 16, of New City, Fyzabad and Marlena James, age 12, of Industry Road, La Brea.

Shainna was reported missing at the Fyzabad Police Station around 5:40pm on Sunday 28th February, 2016, by her mother Charmain Sookdeo, who reported last seeing the teenager around 9:00am on Saturday 27th February, 2016, when she left home to go shopping at Pennywise, San Fernando. She is a ward of the state at the St. Judes Home for Girls.

Shainna is of East Indian descent of slim built, approximately 5 feet, four inches tall with a round face and black shoulder length hair.

Marlena was reported missing at the La Brea Police Station around 12:25pm on Sunday 28th February, 2016 by her mother Jacklin Henry, who reported that her daughter left home at 5:30pm on Saturday 27th February, 2016, and has not since returned.

Marlena is approximately 170lbs, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, medium built with long black hair and an oval face with a round forehead.

Marlena is a student of Holy Name Convent Point Fortin.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Shainna Ali and Marlena James is asked to contact the police at 555,999, 911 or any police station.

No photo of Shainna has as yet been made available to the police."
