An undisclosed cash reward is being offered in an effort to locate missing lecturer Glenda Charles-Harris. This was confirmed yesterday by officials of Crime Stoppers, who indicated that the reward was offered on Monday. Harris, 78, has been missing for 11 days. Unwilling to reveal the amount of money being offered, officials declined to say much except that they were hoping to prompt people to come forward with any information which could lead to her whereabouts being established.
Meanwhile, colleagues and students of Charles-Harris began distributing 1,000 flyers on Tuesday, hoping that members of the public would remember something that could assist police with the investigation into her disappearance. A senior lecturer and head of the Environmental Studies Department at the College of Science, Technology and Applied Arts of T&T (Costaatt), Charles-Harris was last seen leaving her home at Blue Range, Diego Martin, on July 27.
She was expected to report for work at Costaatt that Monday, but never showed up. Costaatt officials confirmed that flyers were handed out at all campus sites in Trinidad, including the City Campus in Port-of-Spain, the El Dorado Campus, the South Campus and the Sangre Grande Campus.
